Daily habits for optimal well-being

In today’s fast-paced world, maintaining our physical and mental well-being is of paramount importance. By incorporating these five habits into your daily routine, you can enhance your overall health and happiness while promoting positive changes in your life.

Movement

Daily movement is essential for physical and mental well-being. Low-impact movement such as pilates, yoga, barre, rebounding and walking are my favorite ways to support my well-being. These activities stimulate the lymphatic system, aiding in natural detoxification. Movement can boost mood, increase energy levels and reduce anxiety.

Hydration

Proper hydration is vital for the healthy function of internal organs and digestive health. Mineral water, fresh organic juices, juicy fruits and coconut water are great sources of hydration. Hydrating in the morning is especially beneficial for the liver and digestive tract.

Being in nature

Taking a break from screens and going outside daily is a huge benefit for our physical and mental health. Time outside helps us reconnect with nature and a more natural state of being. This can help reduce stress and anxiety, improve immunity, increase mood and productivity.

Positive thoughts & words

The words we think and speak play a huge role in our well-being. What we think and speak can shape our reality. At the start of your day, speak out loud positive affirmations and at the end of the day write down a few things you are grateful for. These are great practices to start rewiring your brain into more positive thinking and speaking.

Nutrient dense foods

Eating a diet high in nutrient dense, minimally processed, whole foods is key for physical and mental health. Our body requires vitamins and minerals to function properly. Eating a nutrient dense diet is the best way to get all of the required vitamins and minerals we need. Limiting the amount of processed, artificial foods we eat will help to improve digestion and reduce inflammation in the body.
