What I'm eating while healing candida + recipes / by Ellen Cotten

This post however is just what I've been eating to heal and some simple recipes. :)


During my search for a candida cure, I found a ton of helpful videos of people who had cured their candida, how they did it, what "die off" was, etc etc.
One thing I couldn't find was what they were eating!

If you have struggled with candida you know how hard it is to find something to eat that doesn't "feed" the fungi (and it literally seemed like everythingggg did!)
I would get so flustered at the grocery store of what to buy that I would say "forget this" and opt for a frozen pizza. Thus further feeding the candida and the cycle continued..

Fear not! Here are some simple recipes and things I've been eating. I'm basically doing 80/10/10 (80% raw fruits and veggies, 10% fat and 10% protein.) Feel free to do 0 fats in the beginning of your detox, that's what I did. 

Cauliflower Seaweed Wraps 


Raw Nori Sheets
Bell Pepper
Coconut Aminos

-Blitz up cauliflower in a food processor
-Add desired spices to cauliflower "rice" mix (I used cumin and chili powder)
-Cut bell pepper, avocado and cucumber into thin, long slices
-Lay out nori sheet
-Place cauliflower "rice" on sheet
-Place bell pepper, avocado and cucumber strips on top of rice
-Add kimchi to the top of this pile
-Roll er up! Cut er up! & add coconut aminos as a soy sauce. 
-Enjoy! :)

Juices make up the bulk of my day.
Smoothies are great but if you are looking to heal, juices will be your best weapon.

I am doing 1-2 coffee enemas a day to release the dead candida, so the fresh juices are essential. 
The juices are great for helping the toxins get out AND replenishing my body of lost electrolytes after an enema. 

Get creative! I try to have a basic green juice once a day (Kale, Cucumber, Spinach, Parsley, Celery, Lemon, Ginger.) Outside of that just use your imagination. Heres my current favorite citrus juice and my alllll time favorite juice for healing (lemon ginger blast.)

Orange Glow:
1 peeled Grapefruit
2-3 peeled Oranges
5-6 Carrots
lil bit of Turmeric (fresh or ground)
1 Lemon
1 Lime
1 clove Garlic
optional: 1-2 drops of oregano oil

Lemon Ginger Blast (got this recipe from Lou Corona.)
1 peeled lemon
2 apples
1/2 habanero
3 inches ginger
3 inches Turmeric (or ground)
1 cucumber
1 bunch celery
1 bunch cilantro
1 bunch parsley
1 handful mint


I have this salad pretty much every night! I don't know the exact measurements but here's what I use:

-Bell Pepper
-Spiralized Zucchini

-Lemon juice
-Coconut Aminos
-Apple Cider Vinegar

Sprinkle some nutritional yeast on top for added flavor!
